JAC-Antimicrobial Resistance
JAC-Antimicrobial Resistance (JAC-AMR) is a new fully open access journal from the British Society for Antimicrobial Chemotherapy. The journal publishes academic content, as well as peer review commentaries on stewardship resources.
The education component of JAC-AMR is an innovative online repository for educational resources intended to support learning and increase knowledge about antimicrobial stewardship practice, antimicrobial resistance, behaviour change and more, for a worldwide audience. JAC-AMR will provide commentary and peer review on the educational resource, written by an Editor of the Journal. This will take the form of a structured review of the content of the resource. These reviews will be candid and serve to guide users of the resources as to the type of resource, intended audience, expected time to complete the resource and so on, as well as an assessment of any gaps or weaknesses in the resource.
The research component will publish clinically oriented opinions, reviews and original articles that advance the science and knowledge of antimicrobial resistance, stewardship and use relating to antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antiprotozoal agents. The Journal publishes primarily in human medicine, but articles in veterinary medicine will be considered, provided they fall within the scope of a regional or global ‘one health’ approach to antimicrobials.
